This is because the straps are a bit thicker and closer together. Ankle strap crosses under arch to provide great support. We make this style in narrow which fits medium perfectly. Fit and Sizing: Fits true to size, however, keep in mind that these are professional ballroom shoes and they generally run wider. While the lengths are true to size most ballroom and professional dancers order a half or full size down from their true size so that the shoe is slightly short.
